H4CBD : All you need to know

Cannabidiol, more commonly known as CBD, is a natural cannabis extract that has become very popular in recent years, with increasing use in the health and wellness sectors. Its benefits and some of its therapeutic properties have indeed been recognized by serious scientific studies, notably its anti-inflammatory, anti-anxiety and pain-relieving action.

H4CBD is a kind of boosted form of CBD, giving it better absorption by the body (bioavailability), to increase its effectiveness, i.e. the effect felt, and a longer duration of action.

Are you looking for the perfect ally to help you combat the aches and pains of everyday life? H4CBD is here to relieve you and make your life easier!

However, don't jump headlong into its consumption, as the CBD rules don't necessarily apply to this new cannabinoid, and it may be reassuring to know more before making your H4CBD purchase with complete peace of mind. That's what we're here for - follow the guide!

What is H4CBD?

H4CBD, also known as Tetrahydrocannabidiol (TH-CBD), is a semi-synthetic cannabinoid first discovered and synthesized in 1940.

The term "semi-synthetic" is used to designate a cannabinoid that has a natural base, CBD, but has undergone one or more laboratory modifications to alter its structure. In other words, H4CBD does not occur naturally, although the base of its formula, CBD, is indeed produced naturally by hemp.

The scientists behind its discovery wanted to develop cannabinoids that would be more effective and less prone to instability than the natural molecules of cannabis.

With the H4CBD, there's no doubt that they've achieved their goal.

How is H4CBD made?

Created in the laboratory, it is obtained by hydrogenating cannabidiol (CBD), i.e. by adding hydrogen atoms, in this case four. There are other molecules derived from the hydrogenation of CBD, such as H2CBD, but the term "hydrogenated CBD" refers mainly to H4CBD.

Hydrogenation of a product is absolutely safe. It is a widespread process in the food industry for the transformation of products consumed by humans.

What are the real differences between CBD and H4CBD?

The main difference often highlighted lies in the effects of H4CBD, often considered to be 100 times more potent than CBD, although other distinctions exist.

    • Origin: As mentioned above, CBD is an organic molecule naturally synthesized by the plant during flowering. It is present in cannabis indica, cannabis sativa and industrial hemp, in proportions specific to each type of plant. H4CBD, on the other hand, is created by the hydrogenation of CBD in the laboratory.
    • Bioavailability: Although it may seem strange, H4CBD, despite its semi-synthetic nature, has a higher bioavailability than natural CBD thanks to its chemical formula. Bioavailability is a term that defines the body's ability to absorb a molecule. This translates into greater efficacy (100 times greater according to some studies) and longer-lasting action.
    • Endocannabinoid receptor: Unlike CBD, which acts primarily on the CB2 receptors of our brain's endocannabinoid system, H4CBD activates CB1 receptors, responsible for effects such as mild euphoria and a feeling of fullness.

Why consume H4CBD?

Like CBD, H4CBD offers a wide range of potentially beneficial effects for body and mind. Whether it's reducing chronic anxiety, easing pain or reducing inflammation, H4CBD, like CBD, offers a wide range of potentially beneficial effects for body and mind, with a tenfold increase in intensity compared to non-hydrogenated cannabidiol.

H4CBD vs Pain & Inflammation

H4CBD has many strong arguments for its position among the most promising cannabinoids in terms of pain and inflammation reduction.

In fact, its remarkable characteristics, borrowed from "classic" CBD, are enriched by specific attributes inherited from its molecular modification (hydrogenation), notably its ultra-rapid absorption by the body and direct action on the CB1 receptors of the endocannabinoid system (ECS). These attributes give it exceptional analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Today, H4CBD can be considered the ultimate legal cannabinoid for relieving the minor physical aches and pains of everyday life.

In 2006, research led by Shimon Ben-Shabat, Professor of Clinical Biochemistry, and his working group, demonstrated that H4CBD had a soothing effect on pain. In addition, hydrogenated CBD reduces the synthesis of inflammatory cytokines, thereby alleviating the symptoms of inflammation.

However, hydrogenated CBD is not a miracle product and is not intended to cure.

Good to know: The SEC is involved in the regulation of many physiological processes, including mood, pain, appetite, sleep and immune response. It generally acts to maintain balance in the body, a concept known as homeostasis.

H4CBD vs Anxiety & Stress

Like its effects on pain and inflammation, its action on the CB1 and CB2 receptors of the endocannabinoid system enables it to trigger a physiological response and send soothing, relaxing signals to your brain, which in turn sends them throughout your body.

To put it simply, you'll feel both physical and mental well-being. In high doses, you may even experience euphoria and a pleasant feeling of relaxation.

The purchase of H4CBD is highly recommended for those experiencing stress or anxiety, wishing to relax while consuming quality flowers or resins.

Caution: Not all stores are created equal. Find out about the seller before making your purchase. Although it is totally legal, the sale of H4CBD must be supervised by professionals. The aim is not to push you to buy CBD, but in some, if not most cases, CBD will be enough to reduce your pain, whether physical or mental.

H4CBD vs Weaning

H4CBD is able to reduce the adverse effects associated with cannabis withdrawal. Once again, its action on the CB1 receptors of the endocannabinoid system - the same as those activated by Delta-9-THC consumption - will enable your brain to adapt more easily to the withdrawal caused by the absence of Delta 9 THC.

What are the side effects of H4CBD?

Despite the limited amount of research carried out on this new molecule, specialists agree that, like other cannabinoids, particularly cannabidiol, H4CBD could potentially cause side effects such as :

    • Dizziness
    • Drowsiness
    • Headaches
    • Nausea
    • Vomiting
    • Diarrhea

It's important to note that the presence and severity of these side effects can vary depending on a number of factors, including the dose consumed, the method of administration, the age, weight and general state of health of the consumer.

On our 420greenroad.com website, we warn our customers about the use of H4CBD, pointing out on each product sheet that it is advisable to consume it in the evening, and above all not to drive after having consumed it. Of course, the usual recommendations, such as "not recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding women", and "do not smoke", are always applicable.

Achat H4CBD : Utile ou effet de mode?

It's always difficult to give an opinion on a new molecule, especially a cannabinoid whose medium- and long-term effects are still unknown.

One thing's for sure: since June 13, HHC has been illegal in France, and H4CBD is now positioning itself as the best legal alternative. Other more or less natural cannabinoids will appear in the coming weeks, or even already exist in certain shops (THC-V, THC-P, CBN-P, CBD-P, H3CBN etc.). Right now, however, H4CBD is taking advantage of HHC's ban to make a place for itself in the sun!

We believe it will remain in the spotlight as a potent form of CBD for those who don't want to venture into ever more potent synthetic cannabinoids until the day the state legalizes real THC.
